Distracted by tutus

PInk tutu

I’m meant to be making a pirate collection of clothing in time for the next Pirates of the Caribbean film, On Stranger Tides, which comes out in May. Instead I did this…

I knew that all the lovely net would distract me. Especially as I’m interested in coming up with the best tutu pattern for the kids to wear for Glastonbury festival. With this one I used white cotton muslin for the lining as the pale pink colour of the net still shows up beautifully against it. I made it for age 5-7 years, but it’s so stretchy, it will also fit my 12 year old. Unless she manages to persuade me to let her have it, I’ll be listing it on Oshun soon.
