Midsomer Murders

Tags:

My review of the new series of Midsomer Murders. Only 2 more episodes left I’m afraid.

ITV1 Sundays 9pm. Starring John Nettles, Jason Hughes, Jane Wymark, Laura Howard and a host of ‘What’s he/she been in?’ recognisable type actors. Tomorrow’s episode written by David Hoskins.

Oh my god I am loving this new series. Last weeks was the funniest episode I’ve ever seen. If you missed it, you missed a sex maniac having it away with three desperate housewives in the village and then get murdered; all in the setting of a new supermarket threatening their livelihood.

The week before – I can’t actually remember what happened because I have a crap memory (yes I’m on my way to getting that nintendo memory improving game) but I was intending to sit and type up my latest work all evening, but only managed to do that in the advert breaks as it was such a good episode.

All credit to the writers – please keep writing more, and please can we have more in a series? Four midsomer murders in a new series is not enough!

The only thing I have to say is that I’m not keen on Troy’s replacement. I preferred the 1st guy who I think took over 2 series ago – I can’t remember his name, but he had a much more interesting character. There was a bit of sexual chemestry going on between him and Cully wasn’t there?

Anyway, I still love Barnaby and the gorgeous country settings, and the classic murder mystery cliches and the theme tune. It’s my telly highlight of the week at the moment.
